The plant named SoHyCal is run by H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies, which focuses on green hydrogen energy solutions, is located in Fresno, California.
The 100 percent renewable hydrogen production plant with proton exchange membrane electrolysis (PEM) technology has a nameplate capacity of up to three tonnes per day. The plant functions completely using renewable energy from a photovoltaic plant.
The SoHyCal initiative will provide green hydrogen to the California mobility sector. California is a global market leader in actively promoting hydrogen development. Despite these efforts, California still has a huge unmet need, notably for mobility.
