Stadler hydrogen train sets a new world record

Stadler train

Stadler hydrogen train, the Flirt H2, covered 2,803 km on a single tank of fuel in Colorado, which is a record that overshadows the 1,175 km claimed by Alstom in 2022.

The record was set in the United States, at Ensco’s test track in Pueblo, Colorado. Engineers from Stadler and Ensco took turns driving, starting on the evening of March 20th. They completed their journey at 5 in the afternoon of March 22nd. This is the second time that the Swiss train manufacturer has entered the Guinness Book of Records. It had already set a record with the battery-electric version of the Flirt (Akku), with a distance of 224 km in Germany.
